Hurry up and wait...

Not much to report from today's tests. There have been no significant changes other than they can now pinpoint where the leak is coming from. I was concerned that this meant it had gotten bigger but was assured it's because inflammation is now down and there is less fluid so easier to see.

He did not have any anesthesia for either of the procedures so had to endure torture of wound vac change while awake. It's always nice to visit with Heather (wound care specialist), though. She does her best to keep him preoccupied.

He goes back on Monday afternoon and they are hoping to be able to make changes with the drainage tubes at that time. They've already scheduled wound vac change to happen after the procedure while he's still under anesthesia.

They started him on diuretics again to help with the pain and swelling in his legs. Please pray his fluid levels will balance out. It's a very fine balance...he tends to get dehydrated easily which causes his blood pressure to get too low, leading to other problems.

Have a great weekend!
