The celebration begins!

Wedding activities began with the bridal party and a few of the girls in the family arriving early Friday morning to decorate the church. Then, on to The Garden Cottage Tea Room where 24 of us gathered to celebrate Stacee and her bridesmaids... Kristen, Stephanie, Geraldine, Angela, Kristin and house attendant Carla.

Great family, great friends, great food and great fun!

We then split up and the bridal party, along with Stacee's mom and Cousin Connie, enjoyed being pampered with pedicures! (Shar, Nikki, G'ma and I also enjoyed pedi's & mani's at a different location since there were too many of us for one place!)

Rehearsal began at 4PM and went very smoothly...other than we had to scramble to get a substitute church wedding coordinator since our original (Stacey King) ended up in the ER after falling down a flight of stairs. She had bumps and bruises and a severly sprained ankle; praise God nothing worse. Thanks Celesta for stepping in and doing such a great job!
Then, on to the rehearsal dinner at Joe T Garcia's! Rehearsal dinner's are always my favorite part of the wedding festivities...a time of intimate sharing with family and friends. It was a very emotional time but oh, so sweet!!! La Puertita, the small chapel-looking building where the gathering took place, was perfect! Marcie, Don and many family members did a great job of decorating with our very fun "TEX-MEX" theme. And, of course, the food was great.

And, we were able to pull off the surprise; Jeremy came waltzing in to the rehearsal dinner and when Ryan saw him the tears started flowing all around! It was great...thanks, Jer for putting forth the effort to share in this very special time! And Julie, for your willingness to share him with us even though you and the boys had to stay in Greece! Love you guys so much!!!

Ron held up well throughout the evening but was wiped out when we finally headed home! He really had me worried; by the time I got him in the truck for the ride home, he was physically trembling from exhaustion.

More to come soon!
