Praises:
- they removed his nasal cannula (oxygen thing in his nose; NOT the NG tube that drains his stomach) so he is now breathing 100% on his own
- creatnine (kidney function) is down to 1.5 (normal for him) so they gave him a dose of diuretic to help get the swelling down by voiding more fluid
- White blood count is down to 31,000
Please pray for:
- restful sleep (especially for Ron)
- white blood count to continue on a downward trend
- against nausea
- against pancreatitis problems
- blood sugar management;
- against infection of any kind; sepsis (go back to normal!)
- Aaron & Kristin as they are back in Abilene (at least for a few days to talk with profs and get graduation stuff handled for Aaron); this was VERY HARD for them to do
- Ryan as he makes decisions with his work, etc.
- Ron's business as we try to keep it up and running (my family is doing a fabulous job of stepping in to help in this regard!!! Thanks so much!!!!!)
- and all the other issues we still must deal with
We're anxious to see Dr. Elieson (surgeon) tomorrow. He's been out of town so we have not seen him since Wed. evening.
Most of our family has gone back to their respective homes in Mexico, Georgia, and various parts of Texas. We are going to miss them a great deal...their support has been invaluable; but we know it's time to settle into our new "normal" for a while. Not sure what that looks like as yet but I know we have a huge support system in place and are so thankful for each of you!
Good night! Thanks for your intercession on our behalf!
Christie
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this; He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him...If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall; for the Lord upholds him with His hand."
Psalm 37:4-7; 23-24
What a mighty God we serve!!!
