Praise the Lord!! We had another success this morning. Ron's oxygen levels were good and his breathing was going well so they decided to extubate him. He is now off the ventilator! This is very good because he has been complaining of chest and throat pain from this an now he can talk to us!! It was so so good to hear his voice!! He won't really be able to talk normally for a few days and it requires alot of effort but it is another step in the right direction.
Just wanted to share the good news with everyone! His first few words were to tell us that he loves us, and he also said "So I guess I gave ya'll quite a scare huh?" It was funny and at the same time so true! We laughed, rejoiced and cried at the sound of his voice! More news to come this evening.
